Join our Sourcing Team and advance your career as a Sourcing Lead - Logistics!

This role will support various BP businesses with a range of sourcing, contracting and other related activities within the Logistics category.

Working within a defined global process framework, this role will contribute to an enhanced Service Delivery Model around how BP managed costs through third-party contract agreements, and ensure maximum value is achieved. This role is encouraged to deliver value using the provisions of the Category Management Common Process and within boundaries of relevant laws and regulations, approved budgets and, where applicable, JV partner and NOC agreements.

The Sourcing Lead is responsible for delivering mid-complex, potentially multi-region sourcing events within the logistics sourcing category, driving significant value for the business.

In this role You will:

• •Manage the end-to-end sourcing process including market analysis, supplier identification, RFP development, negotiation, and contract finalization.
• •Conduct complex negotiations with logistics suppliers ensuring favorable terms, conditions and pricing while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• •Develop and implement robust contract management processes including contract creation, handover and ongoing performance monitoring.
• •Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with internal partners to understand their logistics requirements and ensure sourcing solutions meet their needs.
• •Drive continuous improvement in logistics sourcing through the application of agility core practices and tools.
• •Evaluate and select new suppliers based on rigorous criteria including capability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to BP's standards.
• •Apply analytical thinking to see opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains and risk mitigation within the logistics supply chain.
• •Demonstrate strong eye for business in understanding the broader impact of logistics sourcing decisions on the company's financial performance and operational excellence.
• •Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to logistics.

What You will need to be successful:

• •Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in any subject area or related field
• •Proven expertise in Agreements and negotiations including advanced Negotiating techniques and comprehensive Negotiation planning and preparation.
• •Strong understanding and practical application of Sourcing strategy development and implementation.
• •Demonstrated Stakeholder Management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
• •Extensive experience in Contract Creation, Contract handover and implementation and ongoing Contract Management.
• •Solid Business Sense with an understanding of financial implications and operational drivers.
• •Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• •Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• •Advanced / Professional English business language skills

Desirable criteria:

Experience in sourcing n Logistics category is and advantage

CIPS Membership

Experienced in working across time zones and cultures
