Specialised Carer - Home Care

The Opportunity

HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer , you’ll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.

About the role

• •In this role you will provide care for our clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages.
• •Hourly Rates: $32.91 to $36.50- P/H + penalties

Shifts include: (You must be able to do a mix of below)

• •7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
• •14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift
• •21.30- 07.45- Night shift

Responsibilities

• •Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
• •Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
• •Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
• •Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
• •Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

About you

• •Available to work across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites
• •you’re a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused
• •you have previous experience in aged or community care, or are looking to start your career in aged care
• •you have a valid Driver’s Licence and access to an insured, reliable car
• •ideally, you'll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you're not currently qualified and would like to be, then we can help
• •First Aid certificate desirable
• •Empathy and compassion are a must
• •Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
• •A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.

• •$32.91 to $36.50 per hour + plus benefits + super
• •No experience required with comprehensive paid training and ongoing support
• •Generous salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 for living expenses and $2,650 for meals and entertainment
