Job Description:
Coaction’s fast paced and dynamic Accounts Receivable Department is looking for a highly motivated AR Specialist. This individual is responsible for investigation, evaluation and recovery of claims deductibles within our department. Our new team member will need to adapt to a changing environment of varied lines of coverage and have the ability to take on new responsibilities. This is an ideal position for a professional seeking a unique opportunity to utilize their skills and grow with an expanding team of AR professionals. The AR Specialist will assist with claims recoveries as the monies collected reduce the claims expense for Coaction.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to interpret and apply customized insurance policies to real life examples
Conduct thorough, high quality investigations and utilize outside resources as necessary
Completes a referral on each claim in a timely manner and fully documents the claim file with deductible details
Handles assigned claims following company guidelines and industry best practices
Oversight responsibilities for a TPA to add value and deductible expertise
Maintains a diary system that assures each assigned deductible recoverable that assures each will get the ongoing attention needed
Uses the claims system to accurately document recovery process and post recoveries
Closely manages referrals sent to collection agency to ensure recovery expectations are met
Meet with other departments to discuss deductible details and general recovery issues
May be designated key contact and be asked to be involved in the following: preparing and attending claims reviews, analyzing recovery data and meeting with
other employees to discuss account status, meeting and making presentations to other departments
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance; demonstrated understanding of accrual- based accounting requirements.
3-5 years of related experience in a general accounting role; prior accounts receivable experience a must.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel proficiency required.
Experience with subrogation is preferred.
* *This is not available as a fully remote employment. Interested candidates must be willing to work out of our Morristown, NJ office on a hybrid work schedule**
Salary range specific to for this role : $55,000-$70,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
