Spring 2027 Field Superintendent Intern

Description

CM&B is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Field Superintendent Intern (Co-op) to join our project teams and gain hands-on experience in commercial construction. Working alongside experienced Superintendents, interns will gain exposure to day-to-day field operations, safety management, subcontractor coordination, and project execution while building a strong foundation in construction management.

This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields who are interested in exploring a career in construction operations.

What You'll Learn

As a Field Intern, you will:

• •Develop an understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• •Gain exposure to the planning and execution of commercial construction projects.
• •Learn how superintendents coordinate subcontractors and manage daily jobsite activities.
• •Observe and participate in safety inspections and jobsite safety initiatives.
• •Build knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
• •Experience the collaboration required between field teams, project managers, clients, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

• •Assist the Project Superintendent with day-to-day jobsite operations.
• •Review project drawings and documents to understand project scope and construction activities.
• •Support subcontractor coordination and field communication.
• •Participate in site walks and safety inspections.
• •Help monitor jobsite safety and compliance with OSHA requirements.
• •Assist with maintaining daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
• •Support preparation for weekly project meetings.
• •Perform additional field and project-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• •Construction Management major, or related field
• •OSHA 10 required (can be completed upon hire)
• •Ability to travel to site daily
• •Accurate and efficient with a strong work ethic and interpersonal communication skills
