Sr. Cloud Application Architect, MENAT Professional Services Delivery

• The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Sr. Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.

We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries

Key job responsibilities

• As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for:
• -Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
• -Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
• -Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
• -Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
• -Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Basic qualifications

• - Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations, or experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems
• - Experience leading highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
• - Experience leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion
• - Experience leading software development organizations in a "DevOps" model
• - 5+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
• - Experience in Kubernetes, Docker or containers ecosystem, or experience with virtualization (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen) and experience in Network protocols like DNS/DHCP/TCP
• - Experience deploying, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Windows Server, or experience working with REST API based services and experience in any Bigdata architecture
• - Experience developing cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Code Deploy (AWS) or GitLab
• - Experience in developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU or other AI acceleration hardware, or experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing

Preferred qualifications

• - 10+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience
• - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• - Experience working with partners through account, product or program management and business development engagements
• - Experience as a technical account nanager, consultant, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, cloud architect or in a similar role
• - Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
• - Experience with designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies
• - 7+ years of mainframe and legacy systems experience
• - Experience with database management systems
