About OpenLoop
OpenLoop was co-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring care anywhere. Our telehealth support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go-to-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states.
About the Role
OpenLoop’s mission is to bring care anywhere by powering telehealth solutions at scale. OpenLoop is looking for a Senior Director of Procurement to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for leading company-wide sourcing, vendor management, and spend optimization efforts. You will build and scale a centralized procurement function that supports rapid growth while driving transparency, cost savings, and compliance, —with strategic oversight of pharmacy-related purchasing and vendor relationships as a key focus.
What You'll Do
Develop and standardize a centralized procurement policy and process that promotes operational efficiency, spend visibility/controls, and compliance, integrating newly acquired businesses into the enterprise framework.
Implement and optimize a new procurement software tool, ensuring configuration aligns with business needs and provides actionable reporting for leadership and department heads.
Lead annual budget planning processes in coordination with FP&A, aligning procurement strategy with financial goals.
Establish a collaborative framework with department heads to empower visibility and control of department-specific spend, vendor relationships, and budgeting.
Direct the strategy, performance monitoring, and contract lifecycle management for pharmacy-related purchasing and vendor relationships.
Identify vendor consolidation and group purchasing opportunities across pharmacy suppliers to maximize cost efficiency.
Implement supply chain reporting and tracking mechanisms for pharmacy logistics to maintain spend control and fulfillment reliability.
Embed pharmacy procurement metrics into the enterprise procurement platform to achieve complete visibility over company-wide spend.
Work closely with the Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all procurement activities, vendor contracts, and policies meet regulatory and legal standards.
Partner with Legal to review and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation language and service level agreements.
Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, including leadership roles in high-growth and/or multi-location environments.
Proven success designing and scaling centralized procurement operations and policies in both high-growth startup/scale-up environments and publicly traded companies.
Strong knowledge of procurement software and spend management systems; experience with implementation is a plus.
Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, and/or digital health.
Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance management.
Skilled in vendor negotiations, contract review, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.
Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
Our Benefits
In addition, for salaried positions you would also be eligible for:
Medical, Dental, and Vision plans
Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts
Flexible PTO
401(k) + Company Match
Life Insurance, Pet insurance, and more
