The role – Senior Engineer Application Engineer at Xylem Vadodara Plant location. Responsible for evaluating customer requirements and providing technically sound and cost-effective solutions related to pumping systems. Lead preparation of proposals, technical selections, and documentation to support sales teams and secure business.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

• •Analyze customer specifications, applications, and project requirements to recommend appropriate pump solutions.
• •Select pumps, materials, and accessories based on hydraulic calculations, performance data, and industry standards.
• •Prepare techno-commercial proposals, cost estimations, and bid documentation within defined timelines.
• •Coordinate with sales, design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams for accurate solution development.
• •Support customers with technical clarifications during bidding and proposal stages.
• •Review RFQs, tender documents, and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• •Participate in technical discussions, presentations, and negotiations with internal/external stakeholders.
• •Maintain project records, pricing templates, and ensure adherence to company policies.
• •Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

• •Qualification should be bachelor’s degree in engineering ( preferable Mechanical) with 5-7years of experience.
• •Strong knowledge of pump hydraulics, system design, and industrial applications (Water/Wastewater/Oil & Gas/Process Industry).
• •Proficiency in pump selection tools and engineering software.
• •Good understanding of tendering processes and commercial terms.
• •Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-handling skills.
• •Ability to manage multiple proposals and work under deadlines.
