• Role Overview:
• Own the technical foundations that keep Genesys data platforms secure, scalable, governed, and accessible to the teams that depend on them. As Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will shape platform administration across Snowflake, AWS, Tableau, Alation, and the broader enterprise data ecosystem, translating governance requirements into durable systems that reduce risk while accelerating responsible access to data.

You will own end-to-end access provisioning and administration, architect scalable RBAC and identity models, and automate governance controls using Terraform, Python, CI/CD, and identity integrations such as Okta and SCIM. Your work will strengthen auditability, improve platform economics, and create secure self-service capabilities that help data teams spend less time navigating manual controls and more time delivering customer and business value.

The role combines hands-on technical depth with strategic influence across Data Platform Governance and Operations. You will drive alignment between governance requirements, platform architecture, security, compliance, and engineering teams while helping establish standards for emerging Snowflake AI and machine learning capabilities, including Cortex, Agents, and Snowpark ML.

This position provides visibility into enterprise platform initiatives and the opportunity to expand your influence across cloud infrastructure, governance automation, cost optimization, and AI-enabled data platforms. Key Responsibilities:

• •Own end-to-end administration and governance of Snowflake, including scalable RBAC architecture, functional and access role patterns, network policies, authentication policies, and identity integrations
• •Design secure access frameworks using row-level access policies, dynamic data masking, PII object tagging, and Access History to strengthen data protection and auditability
• •Drive Snowflake cost efficiency through warehouse sizing, compute optimization, resource monitors, query tagging, observability, and reserved capacity planning
• •Architect automated access provisioning, approval, certification, and deprovisioning workflows that reduce manual administration and improve consistency across enterprise platforms
• •Develop and maintain Terraform and Infrastructure as Code configurations that standardize platform provisioning and enforce governance controls across environments
• •Build governance monitoring and CI/CD capabilities that surface access anomalies, policy violations, and compliance risks while enabling controlled infrastructure and access changes
• •Lead the technical execution of SOX controls by automating evidence collection, maintaining audit-ready access reporting, and supporting continuous compliance validation
• •Manage AWS account structures, IAM roles, trust policies, S3 Storage Integrations, and cross-account access to provide secure connectivity for Snowflake and related data services
• •Administer Tableau, Alation, and related enterprise platform tooling, establishing scalable permissions, catalog access, and metadata governance practices
• •Drive secure integration across Snowflake, AWS, identity systems, business intelligence tools, and data governance platforms to improve reliability and operational transparency
• •Establish governance foundations for Snowflake AI and machine learning capabilities, including Cortex, Agents, and Snowpark ML, enabling responsible adoption as platform capabilities evolve
• •Partner with governance, security, compliance, engineering, and senior stakeholders to shape platform standards, improve self-service access, and advance enterprise data platform maturity

Required Qualifications:

• •Extensive hands-on experience administering Snowflake environments, including RBAC design, role hierarchy management, access provisioning, row-level security, dynamic data masking, network and authentication policies, resource monitors, and Access History
• •Strong background in AWS account administration, IAM roles and trust policies, S3 Storage Integrations, and cross-account access governance
• •Demonstrated experience administering enterprise platforms such as Tableau, Alation, or comparable business intelligence and data governance tools, including permissions and metadata governance
• •Hands-on expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, including automation of platform provisioning, access controls, and governance configurations
• •Deep understanding of identity and access management, including scalable RBAC models, federated authentication, Okta, and SCIM integrations
• •Experience supporting SOX, SOC 2, or comparable compliance programs, including audit evidence generation, access reporting, and control documentation
• •Strong Python or equivalent scripting experience applied to platform administration, access provisioning, monitoring, or governance automation
• •Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions across complex platform environments and collaborate effectively with governance, security, compliance, and engineering stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Hands-on administration experience across multiple enterprise platforms such as Tableau, Alation, Collibra, or comparable catalog and business intelligence technologies
• •Experience implementing GitHub workflows or comparable CI/CD capabilities for infrastructure, platform administration, and access-control changes
• •Proven track record advancing enterprise governance practices and supporting organizational adoption of scalable platform controls
• •Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex, Agents, Snowpark ML, or related AI and machine learning capabilities, including their security and governance considerations
