The Aspen Group (TAG) is one of the largest and most trusted retail healthcare business support organizations in the U.S. and has supported over 20,000 healthcare professionals and team members at more than 1,300 health and wellness offices across 48 states in four distinct categories: dental care, urgent care, medical aesthetics, and animal health. Working in partnership with independent practice owners and clinicians, the team is united by a single purpose: to prove that healthcare can be better and smarter for everyone. TAG provides a comprehensive suite of centralized business support services that power the impact of five consumer-facing businesses: Aspen Dental, ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet Pet Health Care. Each brand has access to a deep community of experts, tools and resources to grow their practices, and an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality consumer healthcare experiences at scale.

As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer an opportunity to join our dedicated team as a Sr. Manager, Talent Management. Talent Management is a strategic partner to HR Business Partners and People Leaders, delivering talent solutions that support our Talent Strategy across performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, engagement, and data analysis. Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent Management, this role leads the design and delivery of Talent Management programs for Aspen Dental and ClearChoice Dental Implants, partnering with TAG leadership and brand HR leaders to drive talent strategies and programs, and is accountable for the quality, consistency, and results of those programs.

This role requires strong business judgment, a clear point of view on the talent strategies needed to enable business results, and a record of executing complex work and demonstrating impact on the business. The role is hands-on, building strategy while staying connected through training and execution, and leads through influence across a complex, matrixed environment, partnering with executive leadership, brand HR leaders, other HR Centers of Excellence, Legal, and Compliance on Performance Management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, and Leadership Development.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Talent Strategy: Partner with the Senior Director to design and execute integrated talent strategies for our Dental Lines of Business that attract, retain, and develop top talent. Lead the reimagining of the talent lifecycle, including talent pipelining, identification of critical roles and talent, and retention, translating strategy into plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes across both brands.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the brand’s performance management framework and annual process end to end, from goals and check-ins through calibration and promotion inputs, driving accountability, continuous feedback, and high performance, and ensuring consistent, equitable application, including performance improvement and corrective action plans.
  • Succession & Development: Lead brand-specific succession planning, leadership development, and career pathway programs, partnering with Brand HR, Learning & Development, and Legal to strengthen the talent bench and embed inclusive, compliant practices. Facilitate talent reviews and brand assessments and provide development coaching to leaders.
  • Organizational Effectiveness & Engagement: Consult and support employee listening and engagement strategies and programs, partnering with senior leaders on rollout, insights, and action planning to shape culture and engagement.
  • Advisory & Communications: Serve as a trusted advisor to brand HR and people leaders on talent needs, trends, and risks. Create talent and performance management communications and decision-ready materials, dashboards, and scorecards that clearly state recommendations, risks, and decisions.
  • Measurement & Technology: Measure the impact of talent programs across adoption, manager effectiveness, retention, and talent outcomes, and incorporate feedback to improve processes continuously. Integrate talent and performance initiatives into Workday or equivalent systems, partnering with HRIS to enable automation and documentation of people practices.
  • Program & Vendor Management: Manage external talent management vendors and program budgets, ensuring partners align with company objectives and deliver ROI, and partner with Total Rewards so the people philosophy is supported by talent initiatives. Mentor and coach less experienced team members as the role’s scope allows.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 8–10+ years of progressive HR/Talent Management experience, ideally in a complex, high-growth organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, M.S. in OD, I/O Psychology, or HR) preferred
  • Proven experience developing and executing talent strategies connected to business priorities, including high-potential leadership talent sourcing, development, and retention
  • Successful enterprise-wide program management experience, whether starting from scratch or building on others’ work, including implementing processes end to end and measuring impact
  • Experience with Workday or equivalent HRIS event configuration, and the ability to integrate talent and performance initiatives into an HR platform
  • Analytical and data-storytelling skills, with experience building dashboards and reports for leaders
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and coaching skills at all levels of the organization, with the ability to partner with senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing vendors and budgets, with flexibility and a proactive approach in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Certification in Leadership Assessments (e.g. Hogan, Korn Ferry, Center for Creative Leadership, etc.) a plus.

Salary: $160-175k with bonus opportunity

A generous benefits package that includes paid time off, health, dental, vision, and 401(k) savings plan with match
