Overview

Help lead the way in developing advanced image analysis solutions for the defense and intelligence community. You see the big picture, understand how subsystems fit together, and enjoy mentoring others. You will design, test, document, and deploy innovative software solutions for the defense and intelligence communities that apply scientific principles in photogrammetry, remote sensing, and AI into innovative geospatial software capabilities. You thrive on defining critical functionality, shaping user experiences, and ensuring quality at every stage.

Responsibilities

Design, document, and test industry leading software solutions for imagery products supporting common defense and intelligence formats such as NITF, GeoTIFF, CADRG and MISB compliant video (FMV)

Collaborate with software developers to integrate and test community analytical toolkits and libraries into ArcGIS

Orchestrate and document results from defense and intelligence holistic lab testing

Collaborate with software developers on software project teams designing and building new software and planning for future releases

Define, document, and prioritize user requirements and develop best practices for using GIS software in various real-world remote sensing scenarios

Potentially lead the design, development, and documentation of automated QA plans and tests (Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), image quality metric evaluations and regression testing)

Requirements

5+ years of engineering experience working on COTS or GOTS software products

Advanced experience in remote sensing, image processing, photogrammetry, or image analysis

Proven ability to lead major testing or design efforts and mentor others

Strong skills in preparing and automating test strategies and cases

Experience managing project timelines and dependencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to work with controlled unclassified information (CUI)

Bachelor’s degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or a related field

U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access

Recommended Qualifications

Master’s degree in geography, engineering, remote sensing, photogrammetry, or a related field

Experience in the defense and/or intelligence communities

Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, C#, etc.) for validation and sample development

Familiarity with NITF format and multiple image modalities

Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ENVI, Socet GXP, Erdas, or RemoteView

Experience as a Scrum Master or project lead

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$93,600 — $159,328 USD
