What You'll Do

SimpliSafe is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our:

Customer Experience Platform

Privacy Compliance tooling

Cross-organization technical initiatives, partnering with other engineering teams to drive improvements beyond your immediate team's scope

What You'll Bring

5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally full-stack

Proven ability to design and ship production web applications and/or services independently

Strong experience building Node.js microservices

Hands-on experience with AWS

Experience with Angular, React, or a comparable modern frontend framework

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar

Solid working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases

Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies

Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team

A mindset that values building new things as much as maintaining what already exists

The target annual base pay range for this role is $117,000 to $156,000.

This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
