Position Summary

The Engineering Services & NRE role is responsible for establishing and managing the commercial, operational, and strategic framework for engineering services and R&D spend across product development portfolio and transform how the company decides, funds, sources, governs, and leverages engineering capability across its entire product portfolio.

· Predictability: Align projects expectations around cost, scope, resources, and delivery.

· Speed: Reduce the time required to source, contract, and onboard engineering partners.

· Scalability: Create repeatable processes that can be used across multiple projects rather than reinvented each time.

· Leverage: Aggregate requirements to improve commercial and operational leverage with suppliers.

· Strategic capability: Build the right balance of internal engineering capability and external engineering partners.

· Support continuous improvement across the engineering-services lifecycle: Plan → Source → Deliver → Measure → Improve

· Identify recurring inefficiencies, handoff issues, and cost drivers.

Engineering Services Strategy

· Develop the overall Engineering Services strategy by understanding and defining the business needs with the appropriate mix of internal capabilities, strategic partners, and external engineering providers.

· Develop a scalable supplier and capability strategy as project needs evolve.

· Execute sourcing strategies aligned with project timelines, cost targets, quality requirements, and supply-chain objectives.

· Manage supplier onboarding, qualification, and capacity planning to support NPI ramp-up and production requirements.

· Identify opportunities for cost reduction, design optimization, and value engineering during the product development process.

· Track supplier performance, resolve sourcing-related issues, and mitigate supply, capacity, and launch risks.
