  • AWS Data Center Learning is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to own and sustain the GDCO 7S Continuous Improvement program — the workplace-organization and operational-excellence mechanism that runs across our global data center fleet. The program has moved through its foundation and design phases and is transitioning to a durable, self-sustaining operating model. This role is the owner who takes it to a scaled, mechanism-driven program that runs globally.
  • You will own the operating and planning mechanisms that keep a large, distributed community of Regional POCs, cluster leaders, and site teams aligned — giving leadership a clear line of sight into audit coverage, compliance, and program health. Day-to-day execution is run by the field; you own the structure they run within: the tooling and data backbone, the standards and communications cadence, and the metrics that measure impact.
  • Key job responsibilities
  • Own the program mechanism. Run the 7S operating rhythm end-to-end — monthly audit cycle, findings, implementation plans, metrics, communications, and leadership reviews — as a documented, repeatable mechanism.
  • Own the tooling & data backbone. Serve as the program owner for the audit platform and the compliance reporting pipeline; ensure audits, scoring, and dashboards operate reliably and that 7S compliance is surfaced in the WBR/leadership dashboards.
  • Drive standards & single source of truth. Maintain the 7S standards (“What Good Looks Like”), playbooks, and runbooks in Policy 2.0 / Playbook 2.0, and own the 7S wiki as the single source of truth
  • Measure and prove impact. Define and report the metrics that demonstrate program value and sustainability (audit activity and completion rates, compliance, month-over-month trends) and move the program toward outcome-based measurement.
  • Scale enablement. Own self-serve enablement — tooling instruction guides and training requirements so new POCs can onboard.
  • Govern & de-risk. Maintain a light governance and escalation model, manage program risks, reduce duplication with adjacent mechanisms (e.g., GEMBA walks), and keep the program auditable and compliant.
  • Influence without authority. Earn trust and drive adoption across DCO, Infrastructure Delivery, DCEO, Safety, and Security.

Basic qualifications

  • - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Preferred qualifications

  • - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
