From your PASSION to ours

The Staff Accountant will perform a broad range of accounting and financial reporting activities to support accurate and timely month-end close processes. The role will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial reports. The Staff Accountant will ensure the integrity of financial data, assist with departmental reporting, and partner with various departments on projects. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager

From your STORY to ours

• •Prepare and review journal entries, maintain general ledger accounts, and ensure proper expense and revenue coding.
• •Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis and review reconciliations with Accounting Manager.
• •Perform internal control testing as established under standard auditing guidelines.
• •Maintain accurate intercompany accounting entries between Lactalis entities.
• •Track and record lease expense accurately under GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) accounting rules.
• •Assist external auditors with annual audit as needed.
• •Perform inventory reconciliations.
• •Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Education

• •Bachelor's degree is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• •A major in Accounting, CPA is preferred.

Experience

2-3 years accounting experience is required.

Specific knowledge

• •Extensive computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP experience preferred.
• •Must be analytical, accurate and self-motivated.
• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• •Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
• •Ability to operate in a team environment.
• •Ability to adapt in a changing work environment.
