Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all .

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

About the Role

Micron's Market Intelligence team shapes how the company sees the memory market: where demand is heading, what is driving it, and how our competitors are positioning. We are looking for an analyst based in Taiwan who can act as our eyes and ears in the heart of the semiconductor supply chain.

This role suits someone early in their career, likely coming from sell-side or buy-side equity research covering foundry, memory, or memory suppliers, who already has a strong network across the industry and a good instinct for where the market is moving. You will turn what you hear and observe into differentiated, ahead-of-consensus insight for our team. You will also take on core operating responsibilities: TAM reporting to cross functional teams, data center TAM alignment with cross functional teams, and supporting our internal planning system and data management work.

What You Will Do

Market and ecosystem intelligence

Build and maintain a network across foundries, OSATs, hyperscaler supply chains, ODMs/OEMs, substrate and equipment suppliers, and the investment community in Taiwan and Korea.

Spot early signals on industry direction, such as capacity moves, product transitions, build plans, and inventory and pricing behavior, so the team sees shifts before they show up in consensus or published reports.

Track the ecosystem drivers of memory demand, including AI accelerator and GPU ramps, CoWoS and advanced packaging capacity, server builds (AI and general-purpose), CPU platform transitions, and their implications for DRAM, HBM, and server memory content.

Write concise, timely intelligence briefs and recurring market updates that clearly separate verified facts, informed estimates, and open questions.

Taiwan regional focus

For a Taiwan-based hire, we expect regional intelligence to go beyond CoWoS and cover the wider supply chain:

Substrates: track ABF/BT substrate capacity, lead times, and allocation as an early indicator of AI accelerator and server build momentum.

ODM build status: monitor server and AI rack-scale build progress at Taiwan ODMs (e.g., Quanta, Wiwynn, Foxconn, Inventec), including ramp timing, changes to build plans, and memory content per system.

Supply chain inventory: gauge memory and key component inventory across ODMs, module makers, and distribution channels, and flag buildups or drawdowns that could shift memory demand and pricing.

Competitive landscape

Monitor Micron's key competitors across technology roadmaps, HBM qualification and share, capacity and capex, and customer positioning.

Turn competitive developments into clear takeaways for Micron's planning, strategy, and business unit stakeholders.

TAM reporting and cross-functional alignment

Support the quarterly TAM submission to Corporate Market Intelligence (Corp MI), including data preparation, version control, validation, and commentary on changes versus the prior forecast, leveraging artificial intelligence

Work with the CDBU team to align on the total data center TAM, reconciling assumptions, definitions, and bridges so everyone works from one consistent view.

Put together the supporting analysis, such as bridges, sensitivities, and driver decompositions, that explains why the forecast moved.

M2EP and data management

Help maintain TAM and market data in M2EP (Rapid Response), including version management, data loads, and checks across forecast cycles.

Support the move away from manual Excel-based processes toward system-sourced reporting, improving data quality, documentation, and repeatability.

Maintain clean, well-documented datasets that feed downstream analytics and reporting tools.

What We Are Looking For

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Around 2 to 5 years of experience in equity research (sell-side or buy-side) covering semiconductors, ideally foundry, memory, or the memory supply chain, or in a closely related market intelligence or industry analyst role.

An established network across the Taiwan and/or Korea semiconductor ecosystem, and a proven ability to gather and synthesize primary research.

Solid understanding of memory markets (DRAM, HBM, NAND) and the demand drivers behind them, especially data center, AI servers, and advanced packaging.

Strong quantitative and modeling skills, with advanced Excel and experience building supply, demand, or TAM models.

Clear, structured written and spoken communication in English, plus Mandarin or Korean.

Sound professional judgment and integrity, including a clear understanding of the line between legitimate market research and confidential or material non-public information.

Preferred qualifications

CFA (or progress toward it) or an MBA / Master's degree.

Familiarity with Micron's competitive landscape and with hyperscaler, GPU, and CPU platform roadmaps.

Experience with planning systems such as Kinaxis Rapid Response, or with data tools such as Snowflake, SQL, Power BI, or Python.

Experience working across time zones with globally distributed stakeholders.
