This role is ideal for a strategic and execution-focused Staff Product Manager who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments. As a Staff Product Manager, you will lead a portfolio of business-critical digital platforms that support dealer, distributor, and internal business operations. Working across marketing, sales, engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams, you will translate complex business needs into clear product requirements, build and prioritize epics, and drive execution with development teams. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments with multiple concurrent initiatives, enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity, and is passionate about improving product planning, delivery processes, and cross-functional alignment to ensure teams can effectively scale and execute against both near-term priorities and long-term business objectives.

Major Responsibilities

The Staff Product Manager develops product strategies and roadmaps for specific product lines.

They conduct market research to understand customer needs and market trends and collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to execute product plans.

This role involves monitoring product performance and identifying areas for improvement, and communicating progress and updates to stakeholders regularly.

The Staff Product Manager applies specialized technical skills to enhance product features and performance, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.

The focus is on specific product lines with a strong emphasis on technical execution and collaboration.

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in product management or related fields

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skilled in fostering team collaboration and driving results.

Owns the roadmap for well-defined product lines, focusing on tactical execution and cross-functional collaboration within their area of responsibility.

Preferred Job Requirements

Experience in managing technical products or working in agile environments.

Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams to achieve objectives.

Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $155,000 - $210,000 CAD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; life, long-term disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accrued paid time off, paid Holidays (10 for Ontario, 11 for British Columbia) and RRSP retirement benefits.
