This position is based in Vadodara, India as a permanent work-from-office role. The standard shift is 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST.

Staff Quality Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Manual Quality Engineer to lead and execute high-quality testing processes for complex applications.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership over QA efforts for projects, including planning, execution, and reporting.

Analyze business requirements and create test strategies, plans, and cases.

• •Perform functional, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.
• •Identify, document, and track defects.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Conduct risk analysis and recommend quality improvements.

Drive QA process improvements and best practices.

Participate in release planning and provide quality sign-off.

Leadership Responsibilities

Act as a point of escalation for complex testing issues.

Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and team skill development.

Collaborate with management to define QA strategies and roadmap.

Ensure adherence to QA processes and standards.

Represent QA in stakeholder meetings and communicate quality metrics.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team.

Technical Skills

• •Solid experience with QA lifecycle processes.
• •Strong expertise in API testing (Postman, REST Assured)
• •Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
• •Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• •Familiarity with Playwright, and/or experience with test automation frameworks and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in manual testing of complex applications.

Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, QA methodologies.

Expertise in writing test cases, scenarios, and reports.

Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla).

Proficiency in SQL for database validation.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Exposure to API testing and basic automation frameworks.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience in performance and security testing concepts.
