Experienced Technical Lead to lead a cross-functional team of developers and QA engineers responsible for a customer-facing web application. The role requires strong hands-on technical leadership, product collaboration, cloud expertise and a focus on engineering quality, security and delivery. tex

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers and QA engineers.
Drive solution design, technical decisions, code quality and engineering best practices.
Partner with Product teams to translate business requirements into low-level technical requirements, technical stories and estimates .
Lead design/code reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable.
Own technical resolution of complex production issues and security vulnerabilities , including application, runtime and open-source dependencies.
Drive engineering metrics covering quality, automation, security, technical debt and delivery predictability.
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, Security and Cloud/DevOps teams.
Mentor engineers and build strong technical capabilities within the team.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a technical leadership role preferred.
Proven experience leading technically complex solutions and providing technical direction to cross-functional engineering teams.

Technical Expertise

Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and GraphQL .
Experience with PostgreSQL and Solr or similar search technologies.
Strong cloud experience, particularly AWS Lambda, RDS and S3 , with exposure to Microsoft Azure .
Good understanding of REST/API design, distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, performance optimisation and production troubleshooting .
Strong understanding of web/API security, secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation.
Experience designing and supporting scalable customer-facing web applications .
