Hotel Californian is looking for a Starbucks Barista to deliver exemplary customer service in providing food and beverage at their on-property Starbucks location. JOB SUMMARY:

The Starbucks Barista is responsible for taking guests’ orders, preparing coffee requests, serving food over the counter, processing payments, and work collaboratively with team members to maintain the cleanliness of the Starbucks and dining areas. This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing legendary customer service to all customers. This job creates the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Greet and make all guests feel welcome.
• •Take customer orders at the counter.
• •Manage the register, including all credit card and cash operations.
• •Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period.
• •Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• •Attend team briefings when relevant.
• •Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor always.
• •Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude.
• •Promote hotel amenities and services to guests using personal knowledge and effective selling techniques.
• •Welcome and effectively resolve guest questions, issues and complaints with supervisor assistance as needed.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• •Education High school education or equivalent preferred.
• •Knowledge of Starbucks its services, and facilities.
• •Must possess basic computational ability.

• •Strong interpersonal skills
• •Ability to work as part of a team.
