Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Director of Community Development, the Store Manager of BN Foods will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficient and organized store operations, excellent customer service, accurate financial handling, proper inventory management, and effective scheduling of store staff.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in retail, customer service, or a related supervisory/management role
Previous experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system
Experience handling cash, balancing tills/floats, and completing daily sales deposits
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and effectively lead and support a team
Basic computer skills and ability to use POS and inventory systems
Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling financial transactions and inventory
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/store merchandise as required
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and follow financial and workplace procedures
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee daily store operations, including cleanliness, organization, safety, efficiency, staff scheduling, task lists
Provide direction, coaching, and support to store clerks while fostering a positive, respectful, and customer-focused work environment.
Oversee POS operations, cash handling, daily balancing, deposits, financial records, and resolution of discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels, reorder products, receive and verify deliveries, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
Ensure professional and friendly customer service, address concerns and complaints, and ensure store policies are consistently followed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store; ensure staff follow safety procedures and report hazards or maintenance issues.
