How the Role fits in:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct supervision and guidance and to perform the functions of the Storeroom, Inventory, Purchasing of Maintenance material, and Material Control operations. This position must ensure that the right people, procedures, inventory levels, and material are available to provide support to all plant departments. It must also respond to emergency requirements to purchase and expedite material of all orders of magnitude to meet required deadlines. This position is responsible for Storeroom, Material Control, Inventory Control, and purchasing of Maintenance material in support of maintenance and project activities plant wide. Workflows to and from this position to all of the plant departments. This position must bring together employees as a cohesive team, focused on a goal of providing quality service at reasonable costs to a large and diverse customer base with impact throughout the entire corporation.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

SHE Stewardship

Maintain safety as the highest priority and abide by all INEOS safety policies and procedures.

Understand and promote the INEOS “20 Principles of Safety”, assuring that personnel are aware of safe working practices and promote the safety concepts of “Coaching for Safety” and “Stop Work”.

Promote safety and safe actions through communication such as discussing safety with employees/contractors before job task, during meetings, and as opportunities arise to promote safety to the fullest extent possible.

Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulatory requirements and strive to meet internal SHE objectives.

Ensure completion of own and direct subordinate training requirements as outlined in the annual training schedule.

Work Duties

Develop and maintain ISO 9001 procedures within assigned areas of responsibility.

Responsibility and accountability for the development and training of departmental personnel to meet process safety/environmental, quality assurance, and department requirements.

Provide the necessary direction, development, motivation, and internal cooperation of individuals under their control in order to ensure maximum efficiency of the Storeroom department.

Supervise and perform tasks associated with the operations and control of the Storeroom including but not limited to; receiving, issuing, cycle counting, cost control, updating bill of materials (BOMs), and housekeeping.

Purchase material for the Maintenance Department pertaining to both maintenance activities and capital projects. Manage and optimize the Storeroom inventory, controlling the inventory cost at or below $5.0 million.

Evaluate methods to reduce the inventory value without compromising service to operating units.

Assist in identifying and implementing cost reduction ideas to reduce plant expenditures.

Analyze and budget for controllable costs for the Storeroom.

Monitor storeroom inventory to assure material and equipment standards and specifications for the Mobile facility are followed.

Responsible for communications with internal customers and external organizations, such as vendors and suppliers, who provide parts and services to maintain the inventory.

Support SDS library for plant in conjunction with ESH department.

Assist Storeroom Attendant with responsibilities when workload requires.

Skills & Knowledge Required

Education/Experience

High School-level education or GED required.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Minimum five (5) years plus experience in industrial material procurement/distribution; with

Three (3) years plus experience working with computerized Storeroom inventory software, preferably SAP; or

Minimum of five (5) years' experience in related job tasks that demonstrate equivalent skills.

Skills/Competencies

Must be able to communicate in a professional manner to co-workers and outside contacts, in person, by telephone, and written correspondence.

The use of the following office equipment will be required: Personal computer, calculator, multi-line telephone, copier, printer, scanner, fax.

The use of the following software could be required: Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Project, Teams, SharePoint), PDF Xchange, SAP.

The use of the following site systems could be required: Training Mine, TenForce, SharePoint, Esker.

Forklift (electric or diesel), bandsaw, drill, handsaw, general small hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.), electronic scale, tape measure, label machine, step ladder, extension ladder.

Physical Requirements

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
