As the Stores Coordinator for our packaging site in Lockerbie, within our Engineering Department, you will manage the engineering stock holding (spare parts) including ordering, goods receipting, and issuing of stock and non-stock items as well as overall stock control and reporting. Your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring spare parts are ordered on time and in full.
  • Ensuring all deliveries are correct to the order, free from damage, and to the correct specification
  • Ensure that the management of stock within the Engineering Stores is controlled and that all costs are tracked and allocated to the correct location.
  • Allocation of spare parts required for scheduled Engineering work.
  • Stock checking and recording.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage rolling stock check programs ensuring stock levels are accurate, minimum, and maximum stock levels are appropriate and that aged stock is managed.

About you:

  • Demonstratable experience in a stores / engineering environment
  • SAP (Computer management system) knowledge (desirable but not essential, training can be provided)
  • Understanding of manufacturing environment.
  • Good organisation, analytical, communication, time management and process improvement skills.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
