Job Description:

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Strategic Nuclear Arms Control Subject Matter Expert (SME) at GDIT. You’ll be at the leading edge of advising the Defense Threat Reduction agency on the implementation of strategic arms control activities related to the New START Treaty and other arms control treaties and agreements. Our work depends on Strategic Nuclear Arms Control Subject Matter Expert joining our team to provide experienced-based advice in support of the US Government's pursuit of arms control agreements.

  • HOW A STRATEGIC NUCLEAR ARMS CONTOL SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
  • ● Analyzes, defines, and develops national security information regarding various weapon expertise and how they impact the country's safety
  • ● Work with the DTRA leadership and representatives from other government agencies in the arms control community
  • ●Analyze the impact of treaties and agreements on national security objectives
  • ●Advise DTRA on implementation of programs and plans related to treaties and agreements
  • ● Provide technical advice to US government arms control community
  • WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • ● Education: Masters of Arts or Science
  • ● Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience
  • ● Required Technical Skills: Must have 5 or more years of experience directly supporting the New START implementation through arms control interagency liaison activities
  • ● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
  • ● Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytic and communications skills
  • ● Preferred Skills: Expertise in US-Russia relations
  • ● Location: Remote
  • ●US Citizenship Required due to the TS/SCI clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
