About Strategy & Operations at Pennylane:

At Pennylane, being part of the Strategy & Operations team means deeply understanding operational realities. As we launch our German entity, we design and implement efficient, scalable solutions that enable Pennylane to reach and exceed its ambitious expansion targets. Your role will be pivotal in structuring local operations from scratch, scaling existing processes, and tailoring our operating model to the specificities of the German market. To make this launch a success, our Strategy & Operations teams work daily alongside Business teams (Sales, Success Managers), Tech teams (Developers, Product Managers), and Data teams (Data Scientists, Data Analysts).

The Goal

Significantly boost team productivity through better tool utilization, process simplification, and operational structuring to support the launch and expansion of our German entity.

Day-to-Day Impact

You will be the owner, key point of contact, and driver of change within the Business Teams for the German market. You will work closely with operational managers leading Sales, Professional Services, Customer Support, and Account Management.

Your Role

Drive transformation and challenge the status quo: Observe, listen, challenge existing setups, and continuously propose optimizations to reduce time spent on manual admin tasks or data searches. You will pave the way for future local growth, structure operations for a new entity, and document all procedural changes.

Implement operational improvements: Roll out solution-driven initiatives through new information systems, app modifications, or organizational changes. You will lead projects while leveraging cross-functional capabilities (Data, Sales, Finance, etc.). Your mission will also be to ensure high customer satisfaction, hit delivery deadlines, and monitor roll-out KPIs.

Scale and localize processes: Adapt global operational frameworks to German market specificities while remaining aligned with core Pennylane standards.

Benchmark and innovate: Observe other departments, take a step back, run benchmarks, and gather insights to refine operational strategies.

Enable teams and drive adoption: Implement strong communication and hands-on support for German teams to ensure smooth onboarding onto new methodologies (optimal tooling, training, continuous improvement). You will ensure daily tool adoption and process adherence.

Bridge Ops and Corporate strategy: Gain a high-level view of corporate challenges to anticipate their impact on local German operations and provide operational visibility through data-driven insights.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an ambitious professional with a proven track record in organizational transformation, productivity improvement, project management, and operational structuring in a fast-paced environment.

Languages: Fluent in German and English

Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in business transformation and operational efficiency through system and tool implementation.

First-hand experience or a strong appetite for market launches, entity structuring, or scaling operations.

End-to-end project management experience: ability to scope problems quickly, execute fast, and iterate without waiting for perfection.

Ability to balance granular detail with a high-level strategic perspective.

Strong business acumen.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex issues.
