Job Summary

TYLin Buildings is seeking Structural Designer to join our team in Toronto.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

• •Work with the project team to do the structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.
• •Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• •Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• •Perform field review for projects under construction.
• •Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• •Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (with a focus on structures preferred).
• •Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
• •Passing of E.I.T. exam preferred.
• •0-3 years of relevant experience in the execution of commercial, institutional, or residential projects preferred.
• •Familiarity with REVIT Structure preferred.
• •Familiarity with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM) preferred.
• •Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
• •Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
• •High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $36.00-$40.00 per hour for this position and local market.
