INTRODUCTION
The Structures Technician will maintain the company’s aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition in accordance with the company’s maintenance manuals and Federal Aviation Regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform work on aircraft and components as outlined on corresponding work forms, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s Maintenance Manual and Empire Airlines’ approved maintenance program.
- Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition; complete all records and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain the company’s aircraft in a safe and airworthy condition according to the company maintenance manual and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Serve as a role model for ethical behavior, maintain a professional and dignified work environment, and promote and support the mission of Empire Airlines.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- An Airframes certificate is required.
- Two years of commercial/military heavy-check structural repair experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a valid driver’s license with an insurable record through Empire’s policy are required.
- Must adhere to the company’s FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program, required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work may be performed in a hangar environment, requiring considerable outside work and up to 25% travel.
- Will be exposed to noise and hazards associated with aircraft maintenance.
- Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
- May be required to lift up to 80 pounds, plus ladder/lift usage.
- The position requires manual dexterity and speaking, seeing, and hearing to conduct business.

PAY & BENEFITS
- This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
- Expected starting hourly total pay: $31.67 to $36.70 (includes base pay + adders)
- Starting hourly base pay range (DOE): $29.67 - $34.70
- Qualifying hourly pay Incentives: $1 Airframe certificate adder + $1 Powerplant certificate adder (if applicable)
