CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

MINIMIUM PAY RATE: $15.00 per hour

(Position is FWS Eligible)

• ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• 1. Assist with daily tasks involved in running the Athletic Department (copies, typing documents).

• 2. Assist with set up and take down all home athletic events.
• 3. Work admission gate and concession stand for home games.

• 4. Do basketball stats for home games
• 5. Volleyball line judges and ball shagging for home games.
• 6. Assist with soccer balls during all home games on sidelines.
• 7. Clean weight room equipment.
• 8. Help move equipment on turf area for rentals (soccer goals, mounds).

9. Cover external rentals during the week and weekends

• 10. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
• 11. Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be enrolled at JJC in at least 6 credit hours in fall/spring semester.

• 2. GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• 3. High school graduate.

• 4. Must be able to run, bend, lift (50 lbs) without any restrictions.
• 5. Must have flexible hours (days, nights, and weekends).

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1. Knowledge of Microsoft computer programs.

2. Demonstrated multicultural competence.

3. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Normal office physical demands as well as being able to run/jog, bend and lift (50 lbs) without any restrictions.

• WORKING CONDITIONS
• Normal office conditions and indoor/outdoor athletic court/field conditions.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. During summer and holiday breaks (Winter/Spring), may work up to 28 hours per week with supervisor approval.
