Job Description:
The School of Technology for Public Health is seeking a motivated, student-centered Student Recruitment Coordinator to support recruitment and enrollment growth across our undergraduate and graduate programs, offered both on campus and online.
As a school entering its second year, we are building for the future. This position offers an opportunity to help shape the foundation of our recruitment efforts, strengthen how we engage prospective students and families, and identify new opportunities to grow awareness and enrollment.
The Student Recruitment Coordinator will serve as an important point of contact for prospective students and families throughout the recruitment and admissions process. The successful candidate will be patient, approachable, organized, and comfortable helping individuals navigate admissions requirements, university processes, and policies that can sometimes be complex or confusing.
In addition to working directly with prospective students, the Coordinator will help expand the School’s recruitment reach by identifying and developing relationships with community organizations, schools, colleges, conferences, professional associations, and other potential recruitment partners.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, is energized by building something new, and can balance day-to-day student support with longer-term enrollment growth efforts.
Salary: $50,000.00 annually
Essential Duties:
- Serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students and families, providing timely, accurate, patient, and student-centered guidance throughout the recruitment and admissions process. Helps prospective students navigate admissions requirements, university policies, application processes, and next steps.
- Conducts regular outreach to applicants with incomplete application materials and serves as a guide throughout the application process.
- Conducts one-on-one appointments, campus tours, information sessions, presentations, and other engagement activities designed to encourage application completion and enrollment.
- Facilitates, manages, and prepares end-to-end programming around workshops, recruitment events, and presentations to recruit and yield prospective students.
- Responds to student questions and concerns in a timely manner via phone, text, and Salesforce.
- Represents the school at Experience ASU and Sun Devil Days. Participates and contributes to STPH yield events, and serves on various department and university committees.
- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with program directors, faculty, admissions committee members, community partners, businesses, community colleges, high schools and organizations identified as strategic partners.
- Initiates and prepares administrative reports and documents.
- Contributes to the development and coordination of strategic plans for the recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students. Including the development, editing and distribution of recruitment items, brochures, and documents.
- Works collaboratively across teams while also operating independently and taking ownership of assigned priorities. Manages urgent situations.
- Attend local and statewide seminars, events, workshops and conferences.
- Ability to work under supervision and manage work tasks independently.
- Travels to university and community college campuses and local and statewide recruitment events as needed. May be required to attend evening and weekend recruitment activities and use a personal vehicle for local or statewide travel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- Evidence of a Masters degree in higher education, student personnel administration, education, public health, or closely related field.
- Prior experience recruiting undergraduate and graduate students for both on campus and online programs; or experience in student recruitment, admissions, enrollment management, student services, outreach, community engagement, or a related field.
- Evidence of experience using technology to manage communication, scheduling, applicant progress, and virtual recruitment events, including Zoom, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Mogli SMS, Microsoft Office and Google suite tools.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with prospective students, families, colleagues, and external partners.
- Evidence of managing a complex process that led to increased enrollment/participation in a program/activity.
- Prior experience supporting accreditation processes and data collection.
Working Environment:
- Required to work weekends, evenings, and nights depending on the recruitment season and upcoming events.
- Will be required to travel for events within Arizona, sometimes outside Arizona, and between ASU campuses.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate varying distances to perform work.
- Most activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (medium)
- Ability to lift and transport heavy objects/items up to 25 pounds (medium)
- Position may involve a shared office or cubicle space

- The primary work location is the Downtown Phoenix campus, but a presence on other campuses or at off-campus locations may be required.
