Substitute Elementary Teacher

We are seeking a dependable and caring substitute elementary teacher to support students in grades K–6. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with school-aged children and be committed to maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.

• Work Schedule:
• Monday–Friday, 7:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

• Daily Pay Rate:
• $240 per day

Key Responsibilities:

Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher

Deliver instruction and assist students with classroom assignments

Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom

Follow school policies, procedures, and daily schedules

Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators

Provide notes for the regular teacher regarding the day’s activities, student progress, and any classroom concerns

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Minnesota Department of Education substitute teaching license or be willing and eligible to obtain one

Must be able to pass a background check

Comfortable working with elementary students in grades K–6

Previous teaching, classroom, or child-care experience is preferred

Knowledge of the Ojibwe language is considered an asset
