An internship with American Family Insurance is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid to late May and ends in August.
During your internship, you'll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You'll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching.
Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam office location.
Compensation Minimum: $25.00
As a Salesforce Admin intern, you will work on the administration, platform, security, and user access for Salesforce (internally called Relate. You will report to an Engineering Senior manager.
Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of our business, corporate culture and structure to support your work.
Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
Requirements
Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2027 or later.
Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
- Major/program must align with internship role--this may include: Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology or related degrees.
- Coding experience is a plus, but not required. We do need people willing to learn, who are intellectually curious, driven to get things done, and who thrive in a team environment.
- Strongly prefer candidates graduating in August 2027, December 2027, or May 2028.
Additional Information
- To ensure a strong start, all employees participate in our New Employee Orientation during their first week. This experience is held in person at our Madison, WI Headquarters or one of our AmFam core locations to help you connect with our mission, meet key team members and build relationships that support your growth. At times, sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.

Due to the nature of this role, we are unable to consider candidates who may require visa sponsorship.
This role may be considered for a Full-Time Hybrid work arrangement based on the selected candidate's location. Work locations for this role include Madison, WI.
