Atlanta Track Club is a nonprofit committed to creating an active and healthy Atlanta. Through running and walking, Atlanta Track Club motivates, inspires and engages the community to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. With 45,000 members, Atlanta Track Club is the second largest running organization in the United States. In addition to the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race – the largest 10K running event in the world, the Northside Hospital Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race, the Atlanta Marathon, PNC Atlanta 10 Miler and Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon, Atlanta Track Club directs more than 40 events per year. Through the support of its members and volunteers, Atlanta Track Club also maintains a number of community initiatives, including organizing and promoting the Kilometer Kids youth running program to metro Atlanta youth and honoring high school cross country and track and field athletes through Atlanta Track Club’s All-Metro Banquets.

Position Overview: Reporting to Director – Marketing and Communications, this position will assist in driving the strategic execution of marketing initiatives for events and programs. Your focus will be on supporting brand growth and awareness through the development and management of social media campaigns, digital marketing strategies, and event promotion.

Responsibilities:

Administrative duties including, but not limited to, acting as a point of contact for vendors, members and partners; meeting coordination; drafting communication.

Creating unique content for Atlanta Track Club’s social media channels.

Assisting with the development and execution of marketing plans for the Club’s diverse portfolio of events and programs.

Assisting with the ideation and execution of campaigns and activations.

Assisting in organization and presentation of photoshoots.

Assisting in entry-level graphic design projects.

Assisting in merchandise organization and fulfillment.

Representing Atlanta Track Club externally by ensuring all external communication is professional, timely and accurate.

Supporting Atlanta Track Club events through pre- and post-event tasks, projects and event day responsibilities.

Creation and presentation of an after-action report summarizing experience.

Other duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Sound organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Proven analytical and problem-solving experience.

Ability to function well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Reliable transportation.

Ability to work Monday – Friday, as well as evenings and weekends for events.

Event Site and Physical Requirements

Assist on-site setup and break down at Atlanta Track Club events and programs.

Work with sponsors and other partners to ensure their on-site needs are met

Provide registration support, answer questions, and ensure smooth experiences for all stakeholders

Ensure that the event site is properly branded

Capture photos and videos of the event for use in social media and marketing materials

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
