Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$25.000 - $29.070 - $34.400

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

• What You Will Do
• Responsible for oversight and coordination of the Emergency Technicians, Unit Secretaries and Patient Safety Technicians.

• Required Qualifications
• •H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
• •2 Years of related clinical experience.
• •AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

• Preferred Qualifications
• •1 Year pre-hospital teaching or other education position.

1 Year hospital Emergency department or other supervisor experience.

• Other Qualification Requirements
• •One of the following required: Current San Diego County EMT; or Current Paramedic
• Certified NVCI instructor within 6 months of hire, required.

Essential Functions

• 1. Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.
• 2. Attends leadership meetings and completes assignments timely.
• 3. Schedules staff and approves timecards.
• 4. Provides education for all support staff on the unit.
• 5. Functions as the instructor of NVCI certification for all staff on the unit.
• 6. Oversees the orientation of registry and new staff Technicians and Secretaries.
• 7. Ensures all support staff competencies are complete.
• 8. Evaluates inventory and orders supplies and equipment.
• 9. Approves & monitors inventory for cost effectiveness.
• 10. Promotes positive patient satisfaction and address patient complaints.
• 11. Promotes and monitors safety, infection control and performance standards in area.
• 12. Completes support staff evaluations.
• 13. Promotes patient, physician and staff satisfaction.
• 14. Documents incidents or variances on appropriate forms as necessary.
• 15. Performs other duties as needed.
