Lead the Team That Keeps Care Moving

Great care begins with a safe, clean, and welcoming environment—and that starts with a strong team. As our Environmental Services Supervisor, you’ll lead from the front, guiding the people who help make every patient, family, and team member feel confident in the spaces around them. You’ll keep daily operations running smoothly, develop and support staff, champion cleanliness and infection prevention, and ensure schedules, supplies, equipment, timekeeping, and invoices stay on track. What you will do:

Set the pace for daily Environmental Services operations by establishing priorities, assigning work, coordinating coverage, and helping the team adapt confidently as needs change.

Walk the spaces your team supports, celebrate work done well, and offer timely, practical coaching whenever standards need attention.

Review daily checkout reports and ensure each space is clean, ready, and aligned with organizational expectations.

Build team confidence through hands-on training in cleaning and disinfection practices, chemical handling, and the safe use of hospital equipment.

Support your team through thoughtful scheduling, clear work assignments, performance coaching, employee relations, and day-to-day leadership.

Keep the team prepared by monitoring consumable supplies, usage data, orders, and equipment repairs.

Create dependable work and time schedules under the Manager’s direction, coordinate vacation and holiday coverage, make daily staffing adjustments, and approve timecards.

Help build a strong Environmental Services team by supporting candidate selection, onboarding, orientation, training, mentoring, and continued development.

Be a visible champion for safety, risk management, and infection prevention, strengthening a culture of patient safety through observation, education, and accountability.

Stay calm and responsive during emergency calls and shifting priorities, coordinating staffing changes to keep disruption to a minimum.

Partner with subcontractors and Environmental Services suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, reliably, and to standard.

Protect high standards by maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements.\

Lead by example, bringing the principles of Just Culture and our Organizational Values to every interaction and decision.

Contribute wherever needed through other assigned duties while consistently maintaining HIPAA compliance.

What you will need:

Experience:

5 years housekeeping experience required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Ability to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking patients, families, and team members to support quality patient care and service.

Previous experience in a healthcare setting or supervisory experience preferred.

License(s) & Certification(s):

Computer / Typing:

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
