Summary
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (The Training, Readiness, Exercise and Ranges Director) in the Operations Department; N3 of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND.
Duties
- You will serve as The Training, Readiness, Exercise and Ranges Director; and develop, review, modify, and recommend approval of all operational individual and unit training and readiness development training courses.
- You will plan, coordinate, and develop NSW Force training programs, exercise integration, range infrastructure strategy and new capability initiatives. Provides operational training and standards management.
- You will review and evaluate operational training plans and programs for clarity, technical adequacy, tactical adequacy, and accomplishment of specified objectives and performance standards.
- You will maintain continual oversight of Force-wide training, exercises, and range development, management, and assessments.
- You will study and evaluate developments in the training field and make recommendations regarding the adoption of new ideas, techniques, and technologies.
- You will manage personnel performing on-site operational force training, exercise, and range activity validation studies, observe and assess program outcomes, and discuss with management identified shortfalls and discrepancies.
- You will integrate training and range requirements and resourcing strategy into an overall NSW Forcewide Strategic Training and Range Master Plan.
- You will establish and track data on training, exercise integration, and range throughput for units, personnel, and weapons for executive level decisions.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing complex training development, execution, policy development, and operational readiness reporting; and matching operational capability development (aligned with leadership strategy) to training systems, budgets, multi-million dollar training contracts, and ensuring strict compliance with SOCOM and DON high risk safety and training policies.
