  • Summary
  • The Supply Chain Management Material Analyst supports the purchasing and materials team by ensuring that required parts, components, and services are available on time and meet customer requirements. This role focuses on reviewing system reports, analyzing material needs, processing quotes, and assisting with day-to-day supply chain operations. The analyst provides accurate data, maintains organized records, and helps resolve basic material or vendor issues to support smooth production activities.

  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, technical information, and engineering documents.
  • Basic math, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing data and reports.
  • Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to verify data accuracy before sharing reports.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Review internal system reports to ensure materials are available for production and kitting schedules.
  • Assist in evaluating material requirements and identifying shortages or delays.
  • Support the quoting process by reviewing technical documents, gathering pricing, and preparing accurate customer quotes.
  • Communicate with vendors to track orders, confirm delivery dates, and resolve basic issues.
  • Provide timely updates to internal teams regarding material availability and order status.
  • Maintain knowledge of components, suppliers, and materials to support purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor vendor performance related to on-time delivery, cost, and quality.
  • Work with engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure material information is accurate and aligns with customer needs.
  • Review inventory parameters and recommend updates when needed.
  • Follow standard processes and procedures within the supply chain function.
  • Review material requirements and place purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, order status, and delivery updates.
  • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on late or incomplete shipments.
  • Evaluate supplier quotes, compare pricing, and assist in selecting the most cost-effective options.
  • Work with internal teams to resolve material shortages, quality concerns, or incorrect shipments.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing files, and supplier information.
  • Follow company purchasing procedures and ensure compliance with established policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
