Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Coordinator keeps La La Land running smoothly behind the scenes, making sure the right products and supplies arrive at the right locations, at the right time, and at the right cost. This role coordinates purchasing, inventory, and deliveries between our vendors, warehouse, and cafés, and acts as the go-to partner for café teams who depend on having the right supplies on hand to create a joyful experience for every friend. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and brings the same warmth and kindness to vendor and team relationships that our friends feel when they walk through our doors.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare, place, and track purchase orders with vendors, confirming pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.

Monitor inventory levels across cafés and the warehouse, and recommend replenishment to prevent stockouts and overstock.

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers, resolving delays, damages, and discrepancies quickly.

Maintain accurate records in the inventory management and ordering systems, including receiving logs and product data. • Support regular cycle counts and physical inventories and investigate and reconcile variances.

Serve as the main point of contact for café General Managers on product availability, order status, and delivery schedules. • Build positive, collaborative relationships with vendors, and help evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, and reliability.

Prepare weekly reports on inventory health, order status, lead times, and supply chain costs for the Operations Manager.

Identify opportunities to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve processes, including more sustainable packaging and shipping options.

Assist with planning for seasonal demand, promotions, and new product launches.

Process vendor invoices and work with Accounting to resolve billing discrepancies.

Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and logistics principles.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines at once.

High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, record keeping, and reconciliation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables) and the Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to learn inventory management, ERP, or point-of-sale systems quickly.

Clear, friendly, and professional written and verbal communication.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and solution-focused when issues arise.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, treating every colleague and partner with kindness and respect

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

1–3 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, or a related role, preferably in food service, hospitality, or retail.

Experience with an inventory management or ERP system preferred.

APICS/ASCM certification (such as CPIM or CSCP) is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.

Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds when assisting with receiving or inventory counts.

Ability to walk, bend, reach, and climb ladders in warehouse and stockroom areas.

Ability to travel occasionally between café locations and the warehouse.
