Job Description
As a member of our Supply Chain group, the Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for balancing near term demand with an optimal short-range supply plan across a network of like facilities. The role focuses on schedule integrity, reducing freight spend and maximizing service, including entering and optimizing intercompany orders across specific product lines and plants. The analyst role will also facilitate that items are cross-qualified and setup within the manufacturing network to ensure we are able to move products and/or customers site to site. The Supply Planning Analyst will also provide analytical support to ensure the business needs are met. This position serves as the backup scheduler for specific facilities as needed as well as tactically managing any expedited orders that are escalated.
The Supply Planning Analyst will be directly involved in the deployment of Berry’s Finite Scheduling platform, Preactor, as well as the company’s Advance Supply Chain Planning system, Logility, to all sites not currently utilizing those systems.
The role also requires expertise and experience in Supply Chain planning and scheduling tools as well as the ability to foster improvements and adoption of the tools.
Essential Responsibilities:
Drive and monitor proper date management, schedule adherence, and ensure scheduling absolutes are followed
Lead order expedite (K2) process from the Supply side
Lead Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) meetings with Plants
Ownership of the near-term planning horizon (0-4 weeks), linking execution to longer planning horizons
Ensure items are setup across the product line network and coordinate activities to cross qualify items within additional sites
Manage inventory parameters and pre-build settings in our advanced planning system to drive optimal working capital and service levels
Lead Preactor enhancements and training to optimize scheduling excellence. Lead Preactor training initiatives.
Provide foundational data for Supply Planning Manager & Supply Chain Directors from Cognos, Tableau and Logility.
Lead continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, purchasing and/or customer service - preferred
3+ years production scheduling experience - required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related Office applications
Effectively communicate with customers, both external and internal
JDE experience – required, Logility and Preactor - preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organized, detailed and strong multi-tasking skills.
Green Belt Certification - preferred
