Summary

You will serve as a Supply System Analyst of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.

Duties

  • You will be conducting surveys and studies of supply operations to determine proper application of improved supply methods or approved industry techniques
  • You will have a broad understanding of an interrelated chain of activities involving the process of supply, not as an assortment of individual and separate functions.
  • You will perform analytical work concerned with integrated systems, provisioning, allowance, configuration management, inventory, engineering, budgetary planning and execution, planning and execution, supply system maintenance
  • You will as a trainee, the incumbent assists senior staff members in the collection and analysis of data, performing a variety of duties with an increasing degree of difficulty and responsibility.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing Supply System Analyst work analyzing, evaluating and providing technical supply support assistance via telephone and emails to assist in a variety of usual and unusual problems, questions and conditions associated with processing requirements involving supply programs and logistics operations. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Interpret and evaluate alternatives to arrive at conclusions, decisions and recommendations; 2) Complies data to evaluate the efficiency of supply programs involving customer services; 3) Perform calculations to determine the availability of material as noted on various supply systems records. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-07 SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience: have successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position or have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in any field with superior academic achievement. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. GS-07 COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.
