Description

Community Vision is seeking to hire a Direct Support Professional for JT, an active, energetic young man who lives with his parents in Happy Valley.

Pay: $22.00/hour

Location: Happy Valley, OR

Schedule: Flexible! JT is looking to add 2 or 3 staff to his team and would like to spend 1-2 days with each person. The shifts are from 1:00pm until 6:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and/or Sundays.

Description: This is a great role for an active person who enjoys exploring the Portland metro area as much as JT does! JT loves getting outdoors for walks and hikes and going to the gym (2x weekly). A day out with JT usually includes at least 3–6 miles of walking. He’s also receptive and happy to check out interesting indoor events and activities. He enjoys rock and roll music, holidays, trips to the zoo, going to the gym, and connecting with others around his favorite topics and interests.

JT hopes to find a support companion who can provide person centered supports, keep up with his active lifestyle, share his sense of adventure, and help him explore the community. He prefers to work with someone who is willing and able to drive him to activities. Someone who shares an interest in fitness, along with knowledge of gym equipment and safe body movement, would be an especially good fit. He gets along well with people who are engaging, confident, and have a calm, grounded nature. JT does especially well when his staff are clear, direct, and attentive.

JT is eager to connect and enjoys conversation about the things that interest him. If you enjoy exploring the Portland metro area and bring a sense of adventure, curiosity, confidence, and a grounded presence, this role might be a great fit for you.
