Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our team! At UTRS, we enjoy the benefits of working in a collaborative environment of close-knit team members. As a company, we provide a wide range of leading-edge engineering, management, and digital services to the public and private sectors. We are looking for someone that will support our mission to consistently deliver creative, high-quality, technology-based services to our customers on time and within budget.

This position will include working outside in the field to conduct Field Survey tasks including gathering field data to support in-house Surveying and Engineering Departments. A well-rounded knowledge of surveying is a must. The candidate will report to the survey department manager on a daily basis at our New Jersey location at 205 Route 31 North, Washington, New Jersey.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the survey team. Duties include:

Boundary and Topographic surveys for both private and municipal clients

Construction layout and as-built surveys

Engineering support surveys

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

Must have 5+ years’ experience, for the above stated duties

Knowledge of Trimble / Spectre equipment a plus

Knowledge of Robotic equipment and Data collection a must

Knowledge of real time GPS location is also a must

Certifications: HAZWOPER, TWIC, SWAC, a plus

Knowledge of Trimble Access and TSC5/510 Data collectors a plus

Ability to communicate field data with detailed sketches and photos

Travel requirements as described by daily work schedule

Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
