ABOUT NYMBUS
Nymbus (https://nymbus.com/) is not just a leader in fintech; we are a community of innovators passionate about reimagining banking. Our modern core platform and cloud based technology serve as the backbone for financial institutions eager to modernize and excel.
Nymbus is building the next generation of fintech platforms, and Domain SVPs are among the most consequential leadership roles in delivering that vision. This role owns the Core Banking domain: the foundational system layer that processes every financial transaction, maintains every account balance, and enforces every posting rule across the platform.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We are a remote-first company, with occasional travel required for team collaboration or client engagement.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The SVP, Product Management, Core Banking role is the senior product leader responsible for the strategic direction, squad output, and commercial outcomes of the Core Banking domain at Nymbus.
You lead multiple squads that build and evolve the core banking engine — deposits, lending, account structures, posting models, settlement, interest accrual, and the fundamental ledger infrastructure that every other domain depends on. You manage Builders directly, collaborate daily with Architects and Shippers assigned to your domain, and are accountable for everything your domain ships.
This is not a traditional product management role. You operate with four capabilities simultaneously: strategic product leadership, people leadership of Builders, domain subject matter expertise, and AI-first execution. You are expected to be a hands-on SME in core banking systems — someone who has designed, built, or deeply operated core banking platforms and can guide your teams through the complexity of core banking, from operations, finance, teller, to products, entitlements, GL and reconciliations.
You should be equally comfortable discussing market strategy with an executive team, walking through an application funnel with a client, diagnosing friction in an onboarding workflow, and working with product and engineering teams to determine what needs to change.
THE OPERATING MODEL
You operate within Nymbus' AI-native solution operating model:
SVP, Product Management, Core Banking (This Role): Owns the domain's strategic direction, manages Builders, drives commercial outcomes, and ensures squad output meets quality and velocity standards. You are the most senior product voice in your domain.
Builders (Your Direct Reports): Own product intent, specification, and implementation within each squad. You hire, develop, and performance-manage Builders. You set their priorities, remove their blockers, and ensure they operate at the AI-first standard Nymbus requires.
Architects (Collaboration Partners): Report through the Architecture organization but collaborate with you daily. They own system design, technical integrity, and cross-squad consistency within your domain. You coordinate with them on data models, posting engines, and platform integrity.
Shippers (Collaboration Partners): Report through the Product Operations organization but collaborate with you daily. They own delivery quality, release management, and operational readiness. You coordinate with them on acceptance criteria, deployment cadence, and production stability.
YOUR DOMAIN: CORE BANKING
The Core Banking domain encompasses the foundational transaction processing, account management, and ledger infrastructure that every other domain at Nymbus depends on. Current and planned squads include:
Deposits: Core deposit product engine — account structures, sub-ledgers, posting models (memo posting, hard posting, reversals, adjustments), interest accrual, fee calculation, tiering, minimum balances, and product configuration.
Lending: Loan servicing lifecycle — consumer, commercial, real estate, construction, and lines of credit. Payment application logic, accrual and capitalization, payoff calculations, late fees, escrow, suspense handling, and servicing exception workflows (reversals, corrections, extensions, deferments, modifications, charge-offs).
Settlement & Processing: End-of-day batch processing, settlement windows, cutover logic, posting order dependencies, and downstream system propagation. The engine that ensures balances reconcile and financial reporting is accurate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Address data integrity, auditability, and operational controls required for regulatory and financial reporting
