The Watts Internship Program is your chance to bring what you’ve learned in the classroom to life! Scope of Position

This motivated and detail-oriented individual, as part of the Systems Engineering team, will support training initiatives by updating internal and external training materials. The Applications Engineering Intern will develop presentation templates and refresh existing documents to improve consistency, align with branding guidelines, and support effective training.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering. This role is onsite and is based in Blauvelt, NY.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• •Learn and apply the branding guidelines for four Watts entities.
• •Create presentation templates for branded and generic training materials.
• •Update outdated presentations and other training documents to align with current branding guidelines.
• •Support Watts’ goals for quality and customer focus by developing clear, consistent training materials and contributing as a functional team member.
• •Demonstrate respect for coworkers through daily interactions and collaboration.
• •Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering or Company management.
• •Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)

Required Qualifications

• •Current student (sophomore, junior or senior status).
• •Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Concentration, or any relevant major.
• •Strong time management skills, with the ability to organize tasks and manage multiple priorities.
• •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• •Passionate about your work, with a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully and make an impact.
• •Demonstrated commitment to integrity and respect in interactions with others, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• •Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of tasks and following through on commitments.
• •Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
• •Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience creating presentation templates or training materials through coursework, projects, or previous internships.
• •Familiarity with branding guidelines, visual consistency, and document formatting.
• •Experience organizing technical information into clear, accessible content for different audiences.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working onsite at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor or in the Engineering Test Facility and will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. You will work at the Blauvelt, NY location Monday–Friday. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

Physical Requirements : Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

• •Ability to sit, stand, and walk while performing assigned duties.
• •Ability to physically move around the office, manufacturing floor, and Engineering Test Facility.
• •Ability to use hands to handle objects, tools, and other materials.
• •Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
• •Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with management and coworkers.
• •Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
• •Ability to occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
• •Visual abilities necessary to perform assigned duties, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• •Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, which may include safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Pay Range : $22–$26

The expected hourly range for this position is $22–$26 hourly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
