Status: 12-month fixed-term contract, with an immediate start required to support the establishment of our new Geneva office

Location: Geneva

Reports to: Director of Talent Acquisition

The IFRS Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that develops accounting and sustainability disclosure standards for the capital markets globally. Our standards help companies provide clear, comparable information so investors can make better-informed decisions.

With offices in Beijing, Frankfurt, London, Montreal, San Francisco and Tokyo, we are now adding Geneva. Expected to open in mid-2027, the new office will serve as the seat of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), whose standards are in the process of being adopted in close to 50 jurisdictions.

You will join as our more detailed plans for the Geneva office take shape. As our Talent Acquisition Manager for the Geneva project, you will play a key part in building the team from the ground up – finding and welcoming the people who will shape how it works and how it connects with our teams around the world. It is a rare chance to combine the stability of an established, globally trusted institution with the energy and ownership of a growing start-up, as the IFRS Foundation enters this next chapter.

Job purpose: We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Talent Acquisition Manager to join our Talent Acquisition HR Centre of Excellence on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Geneva. This delivery-focused role will primarily support recruitment for our new Geneva office, leading the delivery of critical and specialist roles. The successful candidate will bring extensive end-to-end recruitment expertise, a strong understanding of the sustainability and/or professional services landscape, and the ability to operate effectively across global markets, with particular knowledge of the Swiss employment market.

Principal accountabilities:

Lead sourcing strategy, talent mapping and direct headhunting, proactively building pipelines of high-quality candidates.

Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle, acting as an ambassador for the IFRS Foundation’s employer brand.

Manage relationships with external recruitment partners and search firms, engaging them where appropriate while maximising direct sourcing capability.

Work in line with agreed HR process frameworks, RACI matrices and service-level agreements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership

Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), leaders and hiring managers to understand recruitment needs, provide expert advice and agree effective hiring strategies.

Actively gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback to improve recruitment delivery, processes and outcomes.

Operational Excellence & Governance

Manage strategic talent acquisition projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and resources.

Maintain accurate recruitment records and data, monitor key metrics and support continuous improvement across talent acquisition processes.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market practices, trends, candidate pools and best-in-class recruitment solutions.

Support HRBPs in defining business hiring needs and adapt processes, tools and solutions to meet evolving requirements.

Contribute to a cohesive and inclusive organisational culture through thoughtful talent practices.

Competencies

Deploy and / or initiates and launches HR and talent solutions in response to clearly identified organisational needs and long-term priorities.

Actively collects and considers stakeholder feedback (HRBPs, leaders, managers, employees) to refine, simplify or retire HR programmes and tools over time to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.

Owns the delivery of the services and responds to the delivery within the field of expertise .

Benchmarks, adopts and adapts global HR and talent trends – including digital solutions – tailoring them thoughtfully to IFRS context rather than copying them one-to-one.

Continuously improves and streamlines strategic HR tools, platforms and processes, using data and user feedback to decide what to enhance, integrate or remove.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

Proven experience in a senior in-house Talent Acquisition role, ideally within a Centre of Excellence or similar strategic HR function.

Demonstrable end-to-end recruitment expertise, from job briefing through to offer and onboarding.

Strong background in direct sourcing, talent mapping and headhunting, with the ability to build candidate pipelines without over-reliance on agencies.

Experience recruiting within sustainability, financial services or professional services environments.

Technical experience or familiarity with sustainability topics, enabling credible engagement with candidates and hiring managers in this field.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships with senior leaders, HRBPs and hiring managers.

Demonstrated ability to deliver an outstanding candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Strong experience using HR technology platforms, such as Greenhouse, and similar applicant tracking systems and digital recruitment tools.

Experience working within the Swiss employment market, including knowledge of local hiring practices, labour law considerations and candidate expectations.

Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organisation and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

A data-driven mindset, with experience using recruitment metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French are required; German is an advantage.

Desirable

Exposure to other European, US and/or Canadian recruitment markets.

Experience managing legal or compliance-related hiring.
