Job Description & Summary

As Talent Acquisition and Delivery Manager, you’ll help ensure our recruitment services consistently deliver the quality, fairness and standards we expect.

  • Using operational insight, quality reviews and stakeholder feedback, you’ll identify what’s working, spot where delivery needs attention and bring the right people together to make practical improvements.
  • Working across Talent Acquisition and with key business stakeholders and suppliers, you’ll strengthen accountability and help turn agreed strategies and standards into effective day-to-day delivery.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is curious, evidence-led and motivated by continuous improvement. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how recruitment is delivered, solve real operational challenges and help create sustainable improvements across our Talent Acquisition service.

What your days will look like:

  • Build a strong understanding of recruitment delivery across the end-to-end candidate lifecycle, considering the experience of candidates, recruiters, assessors, hiring teams and other stakeholders.
  • Use performance information, quality reviews, governance controls and stakeholder feedback to assess delivery, identifying strengths, emerging risks, inconsistencies and areas requiring intervention.
  • Investigate issues across people, process, technology and suppliers, identifying underlying causes and turning evidence into clear, practical actions that improve recruitment delivery and candidate outcomes.
  • Lead targeted quality assurance activity, including reviews, sampling and calibration across recruitment and assessment, providing feedback and support to strengthen consistency, evaluation quality and good practice.
  • Bring together the right stakeholders to resolve delivery issues, agreeing ownership, constructively challenging performance and coordinating recovery or improvement activity where expectations are not being met.
  • Ensure recruitment processes and operational controls are effective in practice, bringing risks, quality findings and outstanding actions into appropriate governance forums and monitoring actions through to resolution.
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities for continuous improvement, working across Talent Acquisition, the Centre of Excellence, People Technology & Transformation and external suppliers to simplify processes and ensure agreed changes are effectively implemented, adopted and sustained.
  • Build strong relationships and maintain clear operational standards, communicating complex issues effectively, maintaining appropriate procedures and guidance, and holding internal teams and suppliers accountable for agreed processes, controls, commitments and service standards.

This role is for you if:

  • Strong experience in Talent Acquisition, recruitment operations, operational delivery or a related performance excellence role, with a thorough understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes and candidate journeys.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to draw together operational evidence, quality controls and stakeholder insight to identify issues and deliver practical, sustainable improvements.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, create shared ownership and hold teams, stakeholders and suppliers accountable for agreed actions.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional activity, mobilising people across organisational boundaries and driving actions through to completion.
  • The ability to balance attention to detail with the wider picture, understanding how individual issues, decisions and interventions affect overall delivery and candidate outcomes.
  • Sound judgement, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and make progress when information is complex, competing or incomplete.
  • A curious, pragmatic and evidence-led approach, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, effective resolution and better outcomes.
