The Role – Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, identifying, and securing qualified talent to meet the organization’s current and future workforce needs. This role manages the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing candidates, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, supporting selection decisions, extending offers, and facilitating a positive transition into the organization. The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners closely with hiring managers to understand position requirements, develop effective recruiting strategies, and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. The role also supports recruitment marketing, community and educational partnerships, applicant tracking, and recruiting metrics while ensuring a professional, timely, and consistent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

What You'll Do

Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection support, offer negotiation, and transition into onboarding, while ensuring a professional and consistent candidate experience.

Partner with hiring managers and appropriate HR Business Partner to define position requirements and hiring criteria, develop accurate job descriptions and recruiting strategies, facilitate interviews, and support selection decisions aligned with organizational needs and industry standards.

Source and attract qualified active and passive candidates through resume databases, social media, professional networks, job fairs, college recruiting events, and other appropriate channels.

Track and analyze recruiting metrics—including cost per hire, offer acceptance rate, quality of hire, time to hire, time to fill, source of hire, application completion rate, hiring manager and candidate satisfaction, applicants per opening, and selection ratio.

Assist with developing the annual recruiting budget, track recruitment-related expenses, and review and verify invoices with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payment.

Consistently review and seek out continued education on best practices and latest trends in talent acquisition strategies.

What You Bring (Required Experience)

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and 2-3 years’ experience in recruiting, staffing, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of education and experience required.

Experience supporting full-cycle recruitment and resolving complex recruiting and hiring issues with minimal guidance.

Proactive, self-directed, and adaptable, with strong time management skills and the ability to take initiative, manage changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to act with sound judgment, professional integrity, and confidentiality.

Strong data-entry and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, internet-based tools, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems.

Strong customer focus, consultative skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Must possess a valid driver's license and access to personal transportation or must have access to reliable and efficient means of transportation to and from work sites.
