Tax Intern (Summer, Hybrid)

Position Responsibilities:

• •Assist with the preparation of US, International, State and Local income tax filings including estimates, returns, and quarterly projections
• •Assist with the timely, accurate, and complete compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, judicial decisions, and administrative pronouncements.
• •Assists with the preparation, review, and documentation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision, including the identification and calculation of permanent book/tax differences, discrete items, deferred income taxes, uncertain tax positions, and valuation allowances
• •Support in connection with special projects as needed by the tax department.
• •Respond to notices and assists with Federal, State, and Foreign tax audits or examinations, including anticipating auditor’s requests, preparation of documents and support for returns, and researching audit issues.
• •Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
• •Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.

Qualifications:

• •Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
• •Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• •Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in navigating Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• •Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills; flexible and adaptable team player capable of multi-tasking; and delivers high quality work

Work Environment:

• •Hybrid: must be local to Akron, Ohio for the duration of the internship.
• •Fulltime temporary opportunity (40 hours) May-August 2027.

The salary range for this opportunity is $19.00-$20.00/hour . Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
