Tax Managers are responsible for the success, retention, and satisfaction of their team and clients by empowering and upskilling staff, overseeing tax compliance services, and developing strong, lasting client relationships. In this role, you will lead our specialized real estate practice—serving Real Estate Investors, Syndicates, and Fund Managers with a dedicated focus on complex multi-tier Partnership structures (Subchapter K), S-Corporations, and high-net-worth individual returns.

Beyond compliance, Managers drive team execution by setting clear performance goals, holding staff accountable to deadlines, quality, and revenue metrics, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. Tax Managers also identify process and efficiency opportunities, implement solutions within their teams, and collaborate with Senior Managers and firm leadership to enhance client service and team performance. In addition, you will participate in and assist teamwide initiatives to drive process improvements, cross-team communication through collaboration, and enhanced client service.

As a team leader, you will provide strategic guidance and coaching across all staff levels to ensure goals, objectives, and processes are clearly communicated, understood, and consistently executed. You will also focus on developing future leaders, fostering accountability, and creating high-performing teams that deliver best-in-class service to both clients and colleagues.

We are a 100% virtual CPA firm, with our team located across the United States. As a real estate niche-focused firm, we serve Real Estate Investors, Syndicates, and Fund Managers. Our team has a passion for real estate and often owns investment properties themselves.

Team members who thrive at our firm have excellent time management skills, are self-starters, adaptable, take pride in their work, and work well in an autonomous environment.

Areas of Responsibility

Provide best-in-class service to clients, serving as the primary client relationship manager, proactively managing expectations, leading resolution on tax notices/audits, and recommending additional firm services (e.g., bookkeeping services, tax advisory)

Conduct regular coaching and training sessions, as well as monthly goal check-ins, to upskill preparers and senior accountants, remove blockers, foster accountability, and encourage professional growth

Set clear performance targets, monitor progress, and drive team adherence to internal deadlines, revenue targets, and quality standards

Collaborate with Senior Managers and firm leadership on continuous process improvement, tax tech stack automation, and efficiency/innovation committees
