Description
Ta-Check Financial is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team from February – August. In this position you'll play a vital role in helping clients navigate their tax obligations with ease and confidence.
As a Tax Preparer, you'll be part of a dynamic environment, providing expert guidance, ensuring compliance, and maximizing tax benefits. If you're detail-oriented and passionate about delivering exceptional client service, we invite you to apply and become a key contributor to our success.
We are seeking to add multiple Tax Preparers to work from either our Fairview Park or Strongsville office.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
- Analyze financial statements and records to determine tax liability.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Advise clients on tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Gather and organize client financial information and documents.
- Identify potential tax credits and deductions to increase client savings.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide guidance on tax-related issues.
- Assist with audits, including preparation of audit documents and representation.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex tax issues.
- Ensure all tax return submissions are accurate and timely.
- Use tax software to complete and file tax returns efficiently.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
- Continuously improve knowledge and skills through training and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation.
- Proficient in tax preparation software, similar platforms such as: Lacerte, TurboTax, H&R Block.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and filing procedures.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with electronic submission and e-filing systems.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying updated on tax law changes.
