Job Description:
Responsibilities
Support client engagements involving individual, corporate and partnership, tax services across multiple industries and entity structures.
Prepare and review tax returns and supporting workpapers for a variety of filings, with a focus on individual taxation including Forms 1040, 1041, 990, and 5500.
Conduct tax research and assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to address client-specific requirements and potential tax issues.
Review extensions, quarterly estimates, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
Support and coach Tax Staff through collaboration, technical guidance, and review feedback.
Utilize tax technologies and tools such as CCH Axcess and SurePrep to support efficient tax compliance processes.
Support business entity tax compliance activities across multiple engagements.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support efficient engagement execution and client service delivery.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.
Maintain awareness of evolving tax regulations, compliance requirements, and industry developments relevant to client engagements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred. Candidates not currently certified should meet eligibility requirements to pursue certification upon hire.
Minimum 3 years of experience in U.S. Taxation required.
Previous experience within a public accounting or professional services environment preferred.
Experience preparing and reviewing individual tax forms including 1040, 1041, 990, and 5500 required.
Minimum 2 years of tax preparation experience and 1 year of tax return review experience preferred.
Familiarity with CCH Axcess, SurePrep, or similar tax preparation tools preferred.
Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within collaborative team environments.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
Flexibility to support overtime and travel requirements as needed.
