Overview

LDE, an AtkinsRéalis Company

With a strong reputation for practical engineering, trusted client relationships and local delivery, LDE, an AtkinsRéalis Company, is a New Zealand-based multidisciplinary engineering consultancy supporting infrastructure and development projects across Aotearoa New Zealand. Combining deep local knowledge with broader trans-Tasman capability and access to a global network of engineering specialists, LDE helps clients deliver resilient, practical and future-focused outcomes across the transportation, water, power and renewables, ports and marine, resources, and industrial sectors.

At LDE, you will be working with intelligent people from a wide range of backgrounds, on interesting projects that make a real difference to communities all around New Zealand. You will be valued for your skills and experience and who you are as an individual. We work collaboratively and independently, and balance office time with field trips off the beaten track. We love what we do and have plenty of laughs along the way.

Your role

Based from Tauranga, we are looking for a TCC Category 1 or 2 Geo-Professional to join our team.

We have a diverse portfolio of forward work in the commercial, residential, coastal, central and local government sectors, both in Tauranga and across the North Island, and you will play an integral part in project delivery. Keeping busy will be easy, but a balance between work and life is compulsory at LDE and our flexible working hours support that.

You will undertake analysis and design for key projects, including those of a specialist nature and those requiring strong technical input. Senior reviews will make up part of your week, alongside proactive guidance to less experienced members of the team on improvements they could make. From time to time, construction monitoring and site observations will be needed.

The Tauranga team are hard-working, supportive and fun in equal measures. You will also be part of a national team with a varied workload: big, small, simple, complex and challenging.

There is also the option of taking the lead role in the technical management of the geotechnical team in Tauranga. If that is something you would like to explore, please say so in your application so we can build it into our assessment.

About you

  • TCC Category 1 or 2 Geo-Professional; technically proficient and experienced with New Zealand and Bay of Plenty soils (desirable)
  • Self-motivated and able to mentor, lead and guide the geotechnical and geological team.
  • You will have demonstrated initiative and confidence in your work
